Eh, you've got a point there. People should be aware of the fact that owning a lion isn't like having a plush toy for 5 years old girls. It's a 250 kilos monster of a predator that kills to live and has been programmed to do so. So yeah, people shouldn't own things that aren't supposed to be owned by humans, especially if it's something that can kill you in a matter of seconds.

A domesticated lion or tiger would make an awesome guard though.

Actually, no, not really, cause you don't want to kill the burglar, just to scare him away or hold him till the police comes.

I mean if you were to own a lion or tiger, I doubt anyone would even think about invading your property lol. Unless the person in question had the misfortune of not seeing the big cat sneak up on them.
